Empowerment Solutions, Inc., located in Perry County, Kentucky, was founded upon the deep personal values and lived experiences of its Executive Director and shareholders. Each member of the leadership team has witnessed firsthand the barriers, stigma, and systemic inequities faced by participants with Serious Mental Illness (SMI) or co-occurring SMI and Substance Use Disorders (SUD). Empowerment Solutions, Inc. is a response to those challenges and has a vision for inclusion, empowerment, and recovery for all Kentuckians, regardless of diagnosis or circumstance.
Through participation in the 1915(i) RISE Initiative, Empowerment Solutions, Inc. will extend its continuum of care to participants with SMI or co-occurring SMI and SUD who require rehabilitative and habilitative support in the least restrictive setting possible. Empowerment Solutions, Inc. believes that participants with SMI or co-occurring SMI and SUD have the right to live self-directed, meaningful lives within their communities with access to support that promotes hope, purpose, and dignity.
